The economic outlook in Germany at the end of the 20th century was marked by an outstanding growth prospect in different sectors in Europe and abroad, in line with the favorable business environment in Brazil: the economy had finally stabilized in the early 2000, and democratic institutions were strong enough to favor new investments aiming at boosting production capacity motivated by a strong demand prospective in several Brazilian economic sectors.

It was during this time of opportunities, near the city of Hannover in northern Germany, more precisely in Wolfsburg, that PRIMORIUM began to lay its first bricks. It was then and there that PRIMORIUM's founder, Alexandre Inserra, a Brazilian of Italian origin, took the difficult decision to leave his career as a manager in the headquarters of Volkswagen Group, to accept a new opportunity from the MANAGEMENT ENGINEERS (ME) to become a Senior Consultant and relocate to the city of Düsseldorf.

Until then, Inserra had dedicated more than a decade of his career to the automotive sector, successfully wearing different hats in Latin America, Europe, and South Africa. But it was his facts-based analysis capabilities — and the full commitment to achieving results—which shaped not only his professional profile, but mainly a delivery style that would exceed the highest expectations, incorporating German culture and philosophy into his business consulting style.

With this operating recipe, Inserra worked in countless areas throughout the years, supporting Clients from different sectors in diverse project situations until he was invited to return to São Paulo—after nearly a decade in Germany—to take over as Country Manager of the Brazilian ME branch, position held almost until the company was sold to Booz, and soon after, to the giant PricewaterhouseCoopers, (PwC).

Inserra has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Purdue, Indiana.
